Folkestone mini golf course
Around 400m² of 10mm Golf Pro turf
Working from the client’s prepared base, we fitted the playing surface and grass borders. Careful cutting around curves and concrete edges was central to the installation.
As Good As Grass supplies and installs artificial turf for commercial premises, hospitality spaces, retail displays, courtyards and leisure venues. We help you choose a surface that fits the setting, expected use and appearance you want to achieve.
A commercial installation starts with the site: the existing base, drainage, access, edges and how the space will be used. We agree the preparation and fitting scope before work begins, whether you need a new surface, replacement turf or supply for your own contractor.
Planning a temporary event? See artificial grass hire for rental arrangements or corporate event flooring for the venue and production brief.
These installations show how the turf is fitted around the features, borders and activity that make each venue different.
The work depends on what is already on site and who is preparing it. We can discuss the full installation, fitting to a prepared base or turf supply for your contractor.
For a new area or a site that needs work before the turf can be fitted. Agree removal, base preparation, drainage, joins and edging as part of the project scope.
For sites where your contractor has completed the groundwork. We need to review the base, levels, drainage and readiness before confirming the turf fitting.
For contractors, designers and businesses arranging their own fitting. Share the intended use, dimensions and specification so we can discuss products, quantities and delivery.
An office display, restaurant terrace and busy visitor area place different demands on a surface. We look at the intended activity, footfall, furniture, cleaning and visual finish before discussing suitable products.
Share any project specification or venue requirements early. For indoor installations, include the required flooring and fire-performance documentation so it can be checked against the proposed product. Do not assume every turf range has the same specification.
If the design includes lettering, a logo or contrasting zones, explore our coloured artificial grass and custom designs.
A neat surface depends on what sits beneath it and how it meets the surrounding space. We review the condition of the base, water drainage, thresholds, borders and access before agreeing the fitting method.
Concrete, tarmac and other hard surfaces may be suitable for an overlay after assessment. Damaged or uneven areas and drainage problems need to be addressed within the agreed works. For roof terraces, involve the responsible building team when agreeing protection, drainage and fixing details.
Replacing existing turf? Send photos of the worn areas, joins and base. We can discuss what can stay, what needs preparation and whether maintenance or repair could address the issue.
Tell us what the space needs to do. The setting guides the discussion; the final product and construction are selected for your individual site.
Turf for breakout spaces, decorative areas and workplace courtyards. Share the intended use, existing floor and cleaning requirements so we can discuss an appropriate finish.
Create a green display area or a design using contrasting turf. Our coloured grass service covers cut-in logos, lettering and custom patterns.
Discuss outdoor seating areas, courtyards and terraces for pubs, cafés, restaurants and hotels. Include furniture, footfall, cleaning and drainage in the brief.
Turf for communal courtyards, landscaped areas and visitor spaces. Tell us who uses the area, the access arrangements and how the site will be maintained.
Surfacing around themed spaces and activity areas. For specialist requirements, explore mini golf turf and playground installations.
Discuss turf over a suitable existing base, with attention to drainage, changes in level and edges. See our decking cover service for timber-deck projects.
These supply-price guides help with an initial budget. Product choice comes first: confirm the exact turf, intended use, quantities, VAT and delivery before ordering.

Commercial installation is quoted for the agreed scope. Area, turf choice, existing surface, preparation, drainage, access and bespoke cutting affect the total. Supply-only prices do not include a complete fitted installation.
Ask for the quote to identify preparation, fitting, waste removal, delivery and VAT, with any work by your own contractor clearly agreed. Temporary rental is handled through our grass hire service.
COMMERCIAL & LEISURE SURFACING IN PRACTICE
The installation video below gives a general introduction to grass fitting. Your commercial project needs its own agreed specification, particularly where the surface meets buildings, paths, furniture or specialist activity areas.
Artificial grass removes the need to mow the turfed area, but it still needs care. Plan for debris removal, appropriate brushing and cleaning, clear drainage routes, and checks to joins and edges. Ask for product care instructions and the guarantee terms that apply to your installation.
A clear brief and agreed responsibilities help the work fit around your premises, contractors and opening hours.
Share the postcode, measurements, photos, intended use and target dates. Tell us about access, opening hours, existing surfaces and any drawings or specification.
Confirm the turf, preparation, drainage, joins and edges, alongside who is responsible for each part of the work. Discuss scheduling and whether the site needs a phased approach.
The team completes the agreed installation. Confirm the handover arrangements, product care instructions and guarantee terms, and discuss future cleaning or repairs when needed.

It can be, with the product and installation chosen for the intended use. Tell us about footfall, furniture, equipment and cleaning requirements. Pile height alone is not enough to select a turf; ask about the specification, care and guarantee terms for the exact product.
Share the venue or project specification, including any required flooring and fire-performance documentation. The proposed turf and fitting method need to be checked against that brief. Do not assume that a product described as commercial turf is automatically suitable for every indoor setting.
Potentially, after the base is assessed. Condition, levels, drainage, thresholds and fixing details affect the proposal. If your contractor is preparing the base, agree the required finish and handover before turf fitting. Roof terraces also need input from the responsible building team.
A fitted project needs a quote for its full scope. The table above gives product supply guides; preparation, drainage, access, removal, fitting and design details affect the installed total. Send dimensions, photos and intended use so we can discuss the work and make inclusions clear.
Follow the selected product’s care instructions. Plan for regular debris removal, brushing and suitable cleaning, along with checks to joins, edges and drainage routes. Busy areas may need more frequent attention. Our maintenance and repair service can help with an existing surface.
Tell us who is preparing the site, the access arrangements, opening hours and target dates. We can discuss the proposed programme, responsibilities and whether phased work is practical. Confirm the agreed scope and timing in your quote; arrangements depend on the site and availability.
Tell us your postcode, approximate area, existing surface and how the space will be used. Include your target dates and whether you need turf supply, fitting to a prepared base or a full installation.
